Do you want to take full business responsibility for one or more of Forsstrom's strategically important industrial markets and work with technically leading solutions in international business?
Forsstrom is now looking for an Area Sales Manager with a clear sales focus and strong technical understanding, who will develop and drive our sales in international markets within our global offering.
About the role
The role of Area Sales Manager is fundamentally commercial – you are a salesperson. Using technology, relationships, and business acumen as tools, you are responsible for creating growth, building long-term customer relationships, and developing our agent and distributor network.
You work closely with customers, agents, and internal functions and are a central link between market needs and Forsstrom's solutions. The role combines active sales, technical consulting, and strategic marketing responsibility.

- Reports to: VP Marketing & Sales
- Location: Sweden (frequent international travel required)
Your main responsibilities
Business and market responsibility
- Responsible for sales and business development within the assigned market/region
- Build, develop, and manage relationships with customers, agents, and distributors
- Work systematically with marketing plans, pipeline, and long-term growth
Active sales
- Drive customer dialogues from needs analysis to completed business
- Conduct customer visits, independently and together with agents
- Identify new business opportunities and convert them into concrete deals
Quotation work and follow-up
- Prepare technically and commercially sound quotations
- Ensure that the customer's needs are clearly reflected in the offer
- Work systematically with quotation follow-up and statistics
Technical support and consulting
- Act as technical support to customers and agents
- Contribute with solution proposals in project and application discussions
- Represent Forsstrom's technical competence in a businesslike manner
Trade shows and marketing activities
- Actively participate in trade shows, customer events, and marketing activities
- Contribute to planning and execution together with agents and partners
- Professionally represent Forsstrom on-site
Your profile
Background and experience
- Technical education or equivalent work experience
- Several years of experience in international machinery sales
- Documented ability to drive business and achieve sales targets
- Experience working through agents and distributors is an advantage
Languages and systems
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Additional languages are an advantage
- Good knowledge of the Office suite
- Experience with business systems, preferably Monitor, is a plus
Personal qualities
- Business-driven, self-motivated, and structured
- Relationship-building with a clear sales focus
- Confident in technical dialogues with customers
- Accustomed to working internationally and traveling for work
Responsibilities and authority
You are responsible for ensuring that work is conducted to achieve the best possible business results, in line with applicable laws, agreements, and Forsstrom's policies and guidelines.
The role entails the authority to initiate and implement measures to achieve set goals within given financial frameworks and to act in case of deviations.
